Odaesan National Park and Woljeongsa Temple
Thursday morning some of us joined Kim Sung Ryong and Hong Seul Ki in a tour in the East Coast of South Korea: our first stop was at the Odaesan National Park (오대산국립공원). This park is one of the most beautiful of the country and you should absolutely take a look around it for temples, valleys, rivers and forests. A very important place to visit is the Woljeongsa Temple (월정사). It's a very nice compound of temples: the main temple is Jeokgwangjeon (적광전) with a 9-stone story pagoda just in front of it. For lunch we ate for free in a temple, Sajaam Buddhist Hermitage on Jungdae Peak, on the way to another small temple up on a hill and very isolated, but really nice, in the same direction of Sangwonsa Temple.
