Batoo
What is Batoo? It's a game inspired by go, but it's definitely different. It's quite in fashion in korea recently, and many professional baduk players play it. I didn't understand exactly the rules, but it works more or less in this way: the goban is 11x11, and the players play the first three moves each. Then there's a kind of auction to decide the komi, and the game starts normally, but with some important differences:
- there's the possibility to play once in a game a hidden move when you want, so that your opponent doesn't see it but the stone is on the board. The only way to find it is to play on that position or if you get captured thanks to that stone.
- some positions are worth plus or minus 5 points if you place a stone there, so if you play some first line moves you get 5 while if you play for example on 3-3 point you lose 5.
The game anyway stops normally, points are counted but you've to add and remove the points of the bonus moves.
For further information it's possible to look at the official website of the game, http://www.batoo.com.
