I thought that the Large Avalanche Joseki test would have been difficult, but I can say it was a massacre. Even the next test on another variation of the same joseki went quite bad, but a little bit better. Tomorrow the test will be repeated for who got less than 3.5 and who is not going to pass the test, in retribution, will run around the soccer field of the school 10 times.
The only ones to pass the first test (a little bit more than 110 pages) are only Francesco, Him and Ofer, while the second test (around 30 pages) other than them, Sebastian, Luka, Janine and Pedro there's also me.

A bolt from the blue surprised everyone this week in an apparently peaceful league. Yesterday, in the last games before the end of this week's league, Svilen defeated Sebastian becoming the new hero of the school. Gossip is going on, and it seems that Sebastian had booked a flight back to Germany and already went away yesterday night!
All jokes aside, this event made a little bit more sparkling the last part of the games, that maybe lost the starting freshness probably because we already know each other quite well, moves and playing style too. Let's see what extraordinary surprises the league will reserve us!

Even if in the last weekend it rained a lot, finally we start to breathe summer's air. To annoy this pleasant moment we had a test on over a hundred pages about large avalanche joseki, really heavy going and sometimes difficult to understand because of the questionable translation from korean to english. Results are not yet out, but it seems as it went quite bad for everybody... We will see, but anyway we need to study it again from the beginning!

We played a 9x9 tournament in 4 round without particular time settings Saturday morning. We were divided in different strength groups to decide the correct komi in the games. At the end Gabriel won, Francesco was second, Seul Ki third, Klara fourth and Pavol fifth.
