Tungalag Ravjir
Tungalag, but everybody call her Tungaa, came to KBC some weeks later, and at the beginning it was not too easy to communicate with her because she only knew few english words. Little by little we all tried to talk to her and we began sharing daily life. She got the scholarship so she will stay at KBC for some time. Before the interview, I'd like to thank Ofer Zivony for his cooperation.

Leonardo: What about you and your life besides go?
Tungalag: I'm 22 years old. I have two brothers and two sisters, and I'm the youngest. I live in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia. I graduated the Mongolian University of Science and Technology majoring in radio communication engineering. My hobby is watching movies.
Leonardo: How did you start to play go and how is your go life?
Tungalag: Before Go I've studied chess for almost 7 years. Then my brother, who is a Checkers international master, taught me go in 2003. My first teacher is a Japanese amateur 6d, Aketa Katsuyuki. I got 5th place in the 2003 Mongolian Championship after 5 months of playing. I participated in Wold Amateur Go Championship in 2005. I got 5th place in the 1st Asian Amateur Baduk Championship, Women section, in South Korea in 2007. In 2008 I got in the 8th final in the World Amateur Pair Go Championship.
Leonardo: Tell me about your adventure at KBC and in South Korea
Tungalag: I heard about it through the Mongolian Go Association. I Wanted to improve and learn English and Korean. Improvement in Go was a 2nd priority. I don't like the insects here, but other than that it's a good school: good teachers, friendly and nice students. But I'd like more language lessons.
Leonardo: Plans for the future
Tungalag: Becoming strong and teach in Mongolia, especially girls, though it still won't be more than a hobby.
