A bolt from the blue surprised everyone this week in an apparently peaceful league. Yesterday, in the last games before the end of this week's league, Svilen defeated Sebastian becoming the new hero of the school. Gossip is going on, and it seems that Sebastian had booked a flight back to Germany and already went away yesterday night! Last Updated (Tuesday, 05 May 2009 02:34)

Even if in the last weekend it rained a lot, finally we start to breathe summer's air. To annoy this pleasant moment we had a test on over a hundred pages about large avalanche joseki, really heavy going and sometimes difficult to understand because of the questionable translation from korean to english. Results are not yet out, but it seems as it went quite bad for everybody... We will see, but anyway we need to study it again from the beginning!
We played a 9x9 tournament in 4 round without particular time settings Saturday morning. We were divided in different strength groups to decide the correct komi in the games. At the end Gabriel won, Francesco was second, Seul Ki third, Klara fourth and Pavol fifth. Last Updated (Monday, 04 May 2009 07:20)
Friday night as usual we had a little party, and we got the chance to listen to some Mongolian pop music that Tungalag took from home. Despite some resistance, we started to play a game with 4 goban in a 38x38 board, but after some "small" mistakes still in fuseki Gabriel decided to resign... what a pity! As some of you already noticed, it's now available a new section of the website inside South Korea: Link. Inside you can find official websites of Kings Baduk International Training Center (KBC) and International Baduk Academy (IBA), and many other blogger and friend websites sharing the same passion for go/baduk while living in South Korea. Enjoy them! Last Updated (Tuesday, 22 September 2009 09:52) |
